Cedarburg is located in beautiful Ozaukee County 20 miles north of downtown Milwaukee and just minutes west of Lake Michigan. Close proximity to Interstate 43 and Highway 45 provides easy access for Cedarburg residents to the Milwaukee metropolitan attractions.

Cedarburg is home to a historic downtown district that is enjoyed by residents and visitors alike. The quaint shops provide that small town feel and, coupled with historical buildings, makes downtown Cedarburg one of Ozaukee County’s gems. In the downtown area there are a handful of parks that are very well maintained by the parks department. These provide areas for visitors to play or just sit back an enjoy nature. Throughout the year, Cedarburg hosts many different kinds of events. One of the more popular ones is the Cedarburg Strawberry Festival. This festival attracts tens of thousands of people to downtown Cedarburg with attractions like live music, great food, and a strawberry shortcake eating competition. This festival is a great way to celebrate Cedarburg’s heritage and bring people together. Another favorite of the town is “A Cedarburg Christmas”. This event brings together the community in an effort to celebrate the holidays and have some fun. One of the popular events during this time is Santa’s Dash Away 5K Run/Walk. The proceeds from this event go directly back to A Cedarburg Christmas to help continue Santa’s Workshop. Some other attractions during the festival include the holiday trolley rides and the annual tree lighting ceremony.

Food connoisseurs will enjoy the selection of restaurants located around the city. The Stilt House Gastro Bar is a gastropub that offers gourmet dishes in a fun and classy environment. The menu items are reasonably priced and the tap beer selection should be enough to draw you in off the street. If you’re in the mood for a cheaper meal that is still sure to please, head on over to Out & Out. This local stop offers salads, wraps, hot sandwiches, and mac & cheese with a twist. It’s a great place to stop if you need to grab a quick lunch or just want to stop and enjoy some good food.
